spacecraft lighting during night

Am i the only one annoyed by the brightness of planes and rockets during night? Here's what i mean:

What do you think about it?

I know lighting is coming (Soonâ„¢), and I know there are mods for it for now. Remember we are in Alpha.

Night launches are perticularly dull with the lack of rocket lighting effects on the surrounding area

Rockets are supposed to be bright ^^

There are several lighting issues with the game SQUAD are looking into fixing at the moment, the one you're referencing is "the planet doesn't cast a shadow" give them time with it.

maybe they can add a stock floodlight. i'm currently using the bigtrack floodlight, if i recall correctly, and i don't feel the need for all that brightness.

Hi RealHogweed, this is a fault with the Unity3D lighting system, Unity fix this or until Squad write their own, we are stuck with it.

thanks for the explanation sal_vager. do you think we'll have this fixed in 0.17? because i don't think i've seen anything about it in the developement reports

Here's HarvesteR's blog on what has been fixed for 0.17, I don't see this issue though, sorry.
