Mods similar to old Better than Starting Manned?

Hi,

I'm returning to KSP after 2 or so years. 

Are there any total conversion mods that focus on balancing Career mode? Like adding new contracts, adjusting tech tree, overall balancing etc.?

If anyone remember Better than Starting Manned mod, I'm looking for something like this.

I never played BtSM, but what about Unkerballed Start, have you looked at it?

There is/was another one called Probes First, an excellent mod too but I'm not sure if it runs properly in 1.10.1.

I've been working a probes first style mod that adds parts upgrades and some part balancing.  Still testing, but @Clamp-o-Tron has been starting to explore some ideas on contracts.  If you haven't started your  game yet and want to give it a quick test and report any issues, would definitely appreciate.  If my tree is not to your style, Unkerballed Start would be a good start, but there is also theJesuit's Tetrix which also does a more compact overhaul.  I haven't personally tried Tetrix, but think it is worth checking out.

It has quite similar question.
This kind of question is asked so many times as it makes game more logical to progress. Most likely that is why it is so popular way to play the game in career mode.
