Stock and surface mounted lights stopped turning on

I just updated all my mods and now when I switch off the external lights (both stock and surface mounted), they switch off (without the usual fade) and then won't switch back on again. When I leave the ship and then go back to it again then the lights are back on again. Once more though, if I switch them off then they don't come back on again.

I have tried switching them using the lights button, hotkey command and individually point and click menus.

Any help would be appreciated.

You might want to check the KSP bug tracker https://bugs.kerbalspaceprogram.com/projects/ksp/issues , there are some issues reported regarding lights in KSP 1.11.0
