Deployed surface science stuck at 46%

I have a contract that wants me to collect 50% deployed seismic data from the Mun, and I've set up two seismometers (including deployed solar panels, experiment control stations and antennas) in different biomes but they're not transmitting anymore. Is it just a waiting game or do I have to set up more deployed science in other biomes?

The deployable seismometer doesn't passively gather science; you have to crash something into the body to get measurements.
The more massive and faster the object is moving the more science you get, also you will get more the closer the impact is to the sensor.

So you'll need to, Apollo-style, crash your transfer stage into the Mun, or send a dedicated lithobraking impactor.

Unfortunately, placing multiple identical deployed science units into different biomes on the Mun (or any other body) wont get you 100% returned science from each experiment. The combined total from all the identical units will only give you up to 100%

Also make sure that you have a reliable connection back to KSC otherwise if you lose connection when the experiment reaches 100% it wont send the last bit of data.
