Seems I'm the first to post an FPS and my stated FPS was very wrong. It's not the 20-30 that I selected, but actually a solid 60fps.

I was working from memory of the last time (a couple of years ago) that I checked my FPS and at that time it was about 30, but when I tested it today it was humming away happily at 60.

I'd forgotten that in that 2 year period I'd upgraded my GPU, not to anything high end (a 1070GTX) by it was a big step up from my old card, a 670GTX.

I just tried out a test with a higher parts count (260) with the help of Jeb and the HIPP (Highly Inefficient Pile of Parts).

Before "launching" the HIPP was running at 24FPS, not great but certainly playable. With all those beefy tanks rubbing up against each other and some falling off, Jeb was a little disturbed.

With the HIPP's remaining engines fired up and the thing "launched"... it just sat on the pad burning fuel and generating a huge plume of smoke, the framerate was still 24FPS, so the GPU seems to be happy with all that additional smoke.

Jeb seems to have quietly accepted the appalling state of his vehicle as business as usual.

I can get a mostly stable 140 FPS with a low part count plane on a unmodded install, but running scatter knocks that down to around 60, 40 if I’m near the water. I have FPS capped at 60 most of the time so my GPU don’t catch fire.
