fragtzack
Donk is a better name for the planet. The moon should be "that other name". End of story. Edited November 16, 2021 by fragtzack
fragtzack
A deeper reasoning: All celestial bodies are make believe named by Kerbals in our make believe universe. In the existing Kerbol System called KSP1, all celestial bodies are 1 or 2 syllables with simple sounding words to written english language. I.E. The planet is spelled in letters like the planet verbally sounds. As brilliant as our little green Kerbal friends are, complex english language is not a strong attribute. So based on the existing Kerbol system (KSP1), that "other name" is out of place and not exactly in line with the existing Kerbal "ways". I cannot spell the word Mr boss man said about that cool looking and awesome designed planet. The name however.. is.. Well there is a solution: Hail PLANET DONK and just say no to planets more than 2 syllables. Thank you. In addition, almost all the major celestial bodies in our real solar system are also simple names with 2 or less syllables. Jupiter being exception, but still Jupiter is very simple sounding and spelled. The major exception to this consistency of naming is the moons. Thus "That other name" belongs to the moon, the cool a$$ planet should be Donk. Consistency of naming things matter for "setting the game mood". Plus, when viewing planets/orbits in overhead view map no one really wants to see "super long spelled names" clutter the map view real estate. OK, end of story for real now. Regards, The 2 syllable or less fan. Edited November 16, 2021 by fragtzack
