I'm new to video editing, looking for some feedback :P

Main lesson learned is that I gotta time the scene changes with the natural rhythm of the actual song, and not just the first beat that is convenient. There are some sections that ended up a little off-putting as a result. Also the game footage is at 120% speed, but in retrospect 150% or thereabouts would have been better.

I thought it was pretty good, the only transition I found jarring was at 3:25 when it just popped to a plane on a big beat.

I have no experience though, so consider me a dumb consumer.

Hey Earthlinger,

I've been editing since 1997 (Neon Skys Productions) (Nota Hero on YouTube)  so ill give you a few tips, first one, yes your cuts are off, and that music? is terrible for what you're portraying I know it's what you like? but the audio you use when making vids is not necessarily what you like its got to be orientated to the video first then the audience second, you will need to size-up the type of video it is, like informative or action based or representative, is it a family video or a sports vid or promotional type video?, what/who is your target audience? will all influence your audio decisions, you're filming/capturing using the tools you were using? was not to bad but more close in stuff would help tighten your vid up, a story board based upon your video clips is a pro tip but most don't want to put that time into a amateur video, and having your video timeline and audio timeline open at the same time will get those cuts right on timing cues, I do not know if your PC or Console or how you captured or what you edit with? I'm all Mac (Final Cut Pro/iMoves and Adobe) and on a console (PS4) so I can help there if your ever wanting more info or some quick feedback?, gotta go • Good Luck • Blue Skies......

@TokiGlassBlower I used DaVinci Resolve for the editing and OBS for the capture. Also I totally get what you're saying about the music, but personally I thought it matched the inherent playfulness the game has (electroswing and jazz are, I'm fairly certain, the most common genres in KSP videos lol).

If you're interested, my last video's music choice might agree with you more

Thanks for the reply ;)
