What if Ore is just an abbreviation of Originium

It is very strange that Ore can be turned into both LF and OX without any mass losses. As LF and OX are unlikely to be composed of the same element(if so they will be called Mono instead) there must be some nuclear reactions in the converter. Well, I don't think it's a good idea to have pretty much Uranium, Thorium or Plutium on Minmus(then it will surely evaporate) so Originium can be a good choice as Originium and Ore have about the same density.

errr.... no.

there are times when ksp does not follow hard science, at all. in this case, trying to come up with some pseudoscientifical justification only makes things worse.

here is a time when ksp takes a break from reality. isru mechanics are vastly oversimplified to make them easier.

there must be some nuclear reactions in the converter.

and this absolutely makes no sense. First, everything in ksp is more or less feasible with current science, while nuclear reactions making fuel is way too far. Second, it would require way too much energy; forget a gigantor panel, you'd need multiple nuclear power plants to fuel nuclear reactions on this scale. Third, it's just not convenient.

Not at all.

First, it is pretty much guaranteed that there would be uranium and thorium on minmus, they are not particularly rare elements. not plutonium, that's an artificial element*(not technically exact and I could open several parentheses on this, but let's not for the sake of simplicity). There are thorium and plutonium in small amounts everywhere. On the other hand, getting 10% thorium concentration anywhere is patently absurd. Second, they will not cause enough radiation heating to evaporate minmus. Actually, given its slushball description, minmus should evaporate on its own from the sun heat. Anyway, adding a sprinkle of uranium in it won't change anything.

never heard of this before, but a quick google search sent me to arknights, a videogame in a fantasy setting.

So. We have ksp taking a break from reality, and we try to justify with some hamfisted crossover from another genre. And still the science would not match. No, thanks
