why does my ksp look like an unrendered game?

I downloaded a very heavy mod and it was causing me to lag a lot, so I turned down the settings and now it looks very bad, i put everything back to max and it still looks the same, the textures changed but the rocket model looks bad, how do i fix this? I restarted ksp many times and its still not fixed.

If you clear out your game data folder exepct for the squad stuff does it change anything?

And what are your specs, some mods do require pretty beefy rigs to run well?

Try deleting the settings.cfg file inside the KSP folder, then it’ll recreate it with the default settings after reloading the game which may fix the problem but will also undo any changes you’ve made to the settings ever.
