how to change fuel consumtion in parts file and changin meches

hello evryone

sohere is my story why i want to start changing fuel consumtion of an engine

so i was playing around with space planes and iv made a space plane wich actualy uses aerospike engines but they run out so quickly that i started to make my own version but i cant seem to find how to change the fuel consumption and i am also trying to change the mech a bit so i doesnt look the same i alredy know how to do the textures but i cant seem to load the mech in the sks editor thing if anyone could help me with these things i would very mutch appriciate it

Wouldn't this be more appropriate in the Add-on forum?

Changing the fuel consumption of the toroidal aerospike should just be a case of editing the value in the part.cfg file, change them from the current 390 to 780 if you wanted to halve it for example.

I'm not sure what you're referring to by 'mechs', something to do with Damned Robotics or Mechjeb?

with mech i mean how it looks like the model of it just like you could a basic jet engine look like an turbo one

and this is on the how to forums becuas i am asking how to do it

and i know i have to configure the part.cfg file but i dont know what vaul i have to change and 1 more thing why changing 390 to 780 makes it more effecient that sounds a bit inlogical
