I don't get it... There is a closed portion of Windows 8 through the Apps and such, but it's still just as open as any other Windows version.

Yeah, looks like Notch wasn't interested in having Minecraft run as an App for Windows 8. It'll still run through Java on the desktop anyway, so there's no issue there.

But really, GS should make it more clear and stop being so misleading.
