Landing with interstellar engines should be possible in KSP2. Engines that output that much power wouldn't be limited by atmospheres for the most part so landing crafts like in Avatar 2 should be possible.

If you're taking Avatar as your source material... Okay but let's take a look. That one descent pretty much turned to dust square miles of ground instantly. That's not the case in KSP because the ground is not something you can affect, but I bet you can say goodbye to your colony if you try doing that nearby one.
