Blackness over the KSC with new patch

I am running KSP2 version 0.1.1.0.21572 (the first patch) on a 16" 2021 MacBook Pro M1 Max using Windows 11 and Parallels.

Before the patch, I things ran... OK with the exception of clouds on Kerbin were black instead of white and there were major graphics glitches on the clouds (ragged black bars) looking at them from orbit. This issue disappeared once I got sufficiently far away from Kerbin (I guess it switched to the distant textures).

After the patch, and I loaded my save game containing a vessel en route to Jool, everything is running considerably faster. Everything looks great. Clouds are white now.

The issue with the KSC. There is blackness covering half of the screen or more, depending on the view. See screenshots.

Map view looks normal. Vessels out in space look normal.

Yep, I'm seeing the same. The sky is painted black, and as you move the camera, the "mask" grows across the screen. It makes playing really hard as any vessel view is mostly obscured. Map view is fine.

I've tried many different combinations of graphics settings but nothing seems to help - VSync, clutter on/off, detail set to low / medium / high - whatever.

More info on what I tried to workaround the bug.
