Jason_25
Some action group toggles are toggling twice rapidly instead of once. The workaround is to assign specific actions instead of the toggles. I have noticed this on the small round intakes and the independent throttles for the small jet engines. I seem to remember this was a problem with KSP right after action groups came out. Edited June 1, 2023 by Anth12
Jason_25
This is still a problem and may be getting worse with patch 2. I have to use explicit actions instead of toggles for most things now.
twich22
Yes, in patch 2 the large landing gear toggle function does not work in action groups. Work around is to use the extend and retract landing gear options instead.
Wetzelrad
On 3/23/2023 at 10:25 PM, Jason_25 said: toggling twice rapidly This might be because you're assigning the same action twice for parts that are in symmetry. If I have two symmetrical antennae, I only need to assign one of them to an action group. If I assign both, they toggle twice. The UI needs some clarity on this. However, on one mission I had docked and undocked, and at that point I noticed symmetrical parts were no longer working as expected. I had to manually assign every part to an action group. That is very interesting. *Walks off to do analysis*. But seriously you are right. Hopefully I do not run into the undocking bug you mentioned. This had affected my latest fighter and going back to normal action group controls has made it much safer and less confusing to fly. I can remember the groups now instead of having to look at notes. NaughtyMonster
Reported Version: v0.1.4 (latest) | Mods: none | Can replicate without mods? Yes OS: Microsoft Windows 10 Pro 10.0.19045 64-bit | CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7700 CPU @ 3.60GHz (8) | GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 (3949MB) | RAM: 32683 I tried assigning a pair of Airbrakes to Toggle with a Custom key in Action Group Manager but they will not deploy (I've tried different key numbers). However, assigning Deploy and Retract to two separate Custom keys does work. Alchemist
It think it may be double-toggle issue. It's a pair (or group) of symmetrically placed parts, so that if you click deploy in parts manager both are affected, right? If both parts are assigned to action group with toggle action, it seems to fire twice and not do anything. If you leave only one part toggle action in the action group - they should deploy and retract normally. (but if this symmetry behavior gets broken by docking - you'll have to reapply the action for the second part to work). Still a buggy behavior
Anth
@Alchemist You are correct. I tested it and its exactly as you have described. @NaughtyMonster I merged your bug report with this one. @Jason_25 Moved your bug report out of the archive.
