Fulfilling the contract "Build a new orbital station around Kerbin"

I entered into the above contract, and launched my new space station successfully, but I can't seem to complete the contract! I built the space station in the  VAB and did not assemble it in orbit.   In the 'Fly' screen I can see that I have fulfilled all the options but when I go back to Mission Control all of the requirements are showing incomplete.  Any ideas??

Hi Gary

All the "Build a Station" contracts are slightly different and randomly generated. In order to help you, we'll need pictures of the station and contract.

Could you please -

1. press F1 to take a screenshot (Sometimes Fn+F1)
2. go into the screenshots folder, e.g. C:\\Kerbal Space Program\Screenshots
3. find the screenshot and upload it to The Internets (e.g. Imgur)
4. copy-paste the image link into the KSP forums (it should end in .png, .jpg etc)

Do you go back to mission control immediately or do you wait for a few seconds

Doesn't seem to matter.  Still don't get the message that I have not completed the contract.

I can immediatly see on your screenshot that you have not fullfilled all the requirements:
"Build a new station that has an antenna [...]" is not fullfilled. I can see that your station has a docking port and an antenna and I assume it can generate power too, but it is essential for those contract to build the station in the VAB after accepting the contract. Using a previously build craft will not work.

I aslo don't see any solar power on it, though I can't see many details (zooming in on the station before taking the picture would have helped).

Duh! How did I miss that!  Strange thing is though I have antenna and solar panels and it was built after excepting the contract.  I will try to post a better screenshot

Ok, I think I've found the problem - I was missing a docking port.  I had assumed the cupola included a docking port but it does not.  Now when on the launch pad I can see that all the build requirements are met.

Do you have:

• an antenna
• a docking port
• a source of power (solar panels, fuel cells or RTGs count, engine alternators do not)?

It's hard to say for sure since I can't zoom in on the picture, but it looks like you have an antenna but no docking port and no power generators.

I mistakedly thought that thing that was radially attached was a shielded docking port, sorry
