I wrote a save cleaner. Use at your own risk. It prunes the TravelLogData -> ObjectEvents leaving only unique entries . I have had up to 1GB removed from saves.

Other people have made save cleaners. I wrote my own before I knew about theirs, added it to a thread, then got my link deleted due to not following guidelines.

I have no other dependencies to other projects etc. so hopefully this is in the rules. Use at your own risk and make a backup.

Most people dont have python though.

Does it delete everything  from the first line mentioning ObjectEvents to the end of the file? If it doesn't then it risks allowing the problem to happen again.

I did the same thing. Written in Rust and compiled to a native Windows binary so no external dependencies required.
