Can we PLEASE get gamepad/joystick support soon?

Im having a blast with this game. But my absolute biggest issue is not being able to use a joystick or a gamepad for smoother flight controls.   Flying planes with a keyboard using full input of on/off really breaks the immersion.  I know it was mentioned in the past that support for gamepad/joystick will eventually come… but adding this sooner rather than later will make this game 100% more enjoyable imo.

I've been able to map analogue controls for roll and pitch to my HOTAS setup. I set yaw and throttle to one of the hat swiches. Have you tried mapping your joystick to roll and pitch in the input menu?

I was also able to map my pitch and roll controls to the joystick on my HOTAS.  But it was pretty badly bugged.  The joystick was calibrated.  I confirmed that outside of the game.  But KSP2 could did not seem to be able to tell when I was pulling back on the stick.  it could only tell that I was pushing forward.  And left and right seemed completely wonky.

Hahaha! No proper joystick support in a 2023 space and flight sim.
