Forgotten projects?

Recommended Posts

Do you have any spacecraft/planes that you started building, probably built, tested once and then forgot about it?

Meet the MSS-10000. The original "Fat Phoenix" that barely got tested. Its way uglier anyways. I tried making it compatible with the FreeIVA mod (it worked). But eventually I found the MK2/MK3 passthrough mod thing. And I went with the MSS-1000, the more charming one. Due to the 2 wings that it has, the 2 engines and the bigger parts, it flies poorly, compared to the MSS-1000. HOWEVER, due to its bigger fuel tanks, it has almost twice the vacuum delta v. Enough talking, take a look. (i made the screenshots 5 mins ago)

And then: The Untitled Spacecraft (which?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!). The purpose of this is unknown. Its a garbage. I wonder how it flew. It's from my console times.

Some of you may remember when I talked about my failure of a Space Shuttle recreation. I had to send a rescue mission, because this thing simply couldnt deorbit myself (or at least it would take a lot of time)

And finally, the Hawk shuttle. Was meant to be a Phoenix succesor, but for some reason I abandoned it (it may still be on my PS4, hidden somewhere). It would've been called the MSS-200, I guess... As far as I remember, I DID make a flight witb a carrier rocket, but it ended up landing on the continent East of the KSC due to delta V problems.

(Yes I did use a carrier plane for testing. Why? I don't know.)

Not exactly the same, but I have a whole category of experimental crafts where I test concepts/principles/parts/etc, these see testing until I’m comfortable enough to build a more “refined” production version, which becomes the vehicle I do actively use. Some of them although successfully demonstrating the capability see no further development, so you could consider them somewhat “abandoned”.
