Do Kerbals bud like yeast?

When moving a tourist from a transport to a docked lander the kerb cloned.  I have Patsby in the transport and another Patsby in the lander.   I landed lander-Patsby on Minmus as per contract now the lander is back docked with the transport.  The contract shows the landing as being complete but I have questions. 

Should I roll  dice for double rewards by taking transport-Patsby down for a surface visit also? 

Should I avoid allowing the 2 of them meet in the same compartment  to prevent a philosophical conundrum kraken?

Do I need to figure out which one is real and which is the Kylon infiltrator?

More seriously, should I try to fix the game file or just take them both back to Kerbin (I have a spare seat as per norm for last minute rescue contracts) and let the Mission Control sort it out?

This just sounds like someone has to do a bunch of paperwork.  And that sounds like actual work.

I ended up deleting the "crew = Patsby Kerman" line for transport-Patsby from the save file and happy ending ensued.  I didn't want the contract completion to get confuzzzed
