Saving is horrendous

How does saving anything work in this game?

I worked 2 hours on a NEW plane.. try and save it and it asks me if I want to replace the existing save. uhhhh okaaay.. sure. I say yes.

Then I start a NEW vehicle (by clicking the new-vehicle icon). It warns me about loosing the save (I just saved). I build a new rocket. Try and save it and again it asks me if I want to replace the existing save? But it's new.... so confused.

Then I go look for my first save... the one I worked 2 hours on. Nothing. Gone. Forever. No auto saves. Nothing.

The concept of saving a vehicle is completely broken. I have no faith anything is ever properly saved.

Use the "workspace file name" field and ignore the "vehicle name" field.  The overcomplicated nature of it bothers me too but this method should work.  I am suprised you do not have an auto save.  The game makes like 50 auto saves an hour for me and I hate them and never use them.  Once you get into the habit of saving files like spaceship1, spaceship2, spaceship3 and so on you will never need the autosaves anyway.  With drive space like it is today, you can save a new file name for every single change if you want.

Ya the save system is nonsensical at the moment, probably due to it being rushed and slapped together with little thought behind it.
