Hello,

I am unable to split any part groups on my rocket. Any part group such as decouples, engines, thrusters will not split into smaller groups. When looking at the steam forum I have seen similar issues with the reply of "this function does not yet exist". Which I'm not quite sure I believe as I was previously able to do this in the past, most likely before X or Y update. If that is the case i would be amazed considering the functionality it would take away from the game. It would be hard to build anything other than a single engine rocket without being able to split groups.

Last time I had to stop playing because the FPS was just atrocious, I would be lucky to see my FPS go above 14. Now its running a lot smoother so I'd love to give the game another shot, but I cant seem to get anything more complicated than a stick with fire at the end onto the launch pad from the VAB

Any help that can be provided would be really appreciated. I want this game to work so bad, I want you guys to succeed so bad. I don't care if I have to wait another 10 years, the idea of multiplayer Kerbal keeps me awake at night.

P.S also getting some weird graphical glitch where the transparent or Blue parts of the UI seem to flicker (everywhere except main menu or pause menu). Also a lot of camera bugs in the VAB. Neither of those are as annoying as not being able to actually build a complex rocket though.

Thanks,

Thanks for submitting a bug report about this issue.
You are unable to split any part groups?
Can you explain further what you mean here?

This is for the parts menu on the left? Or for the rocket itself and removing parts?

The following link will take you to a bug report with a youtube video that could be what you are experiencing. Its a known issue with AMD graphics cards:

So essentially I am trying to make a Saturn V style rocket that has 6 liquid fuel boosters that feed into each other and detach in groups of 2.  They use seperatron solid fuel boosters to detach them as well as decouplers. All seperatrons, decouplers, and engines are grouped. Theres a group of 6 engines, a group of 24 seperatrons, and a group of 6 decouplers. The idea is to split these groups of parts between stages. I am unable to split the group so I can have 2 decouplers activates in stage 2 and 2 activate in stage 3. Whenever trying to drag a part out of the group it just moves the entire group or does nothing if you drag in the same stage. Also noticing Ctrl+click isn't selecting multiple parts in the group.

Correction. After some experimenting, it looks like any groups created via the symmetry tool are un-splitable. The groups of 24 seperatrons I mentioned can be split into groups of 6, with each group being made up of sepratrons from the same symmetry placement when i made the construction.

I can place decouplers manually and split/group them up no problem, but anything placed with symmetry is forced into the same group and cant be split up.

Is this really a bug or is this intended? If intended thats... very saddening.

Oh. Currently parts cant be removed from symmetry separately.
KSP1 wasn't able to do this until 1.7 when robotics was introduced.

The alternative is to attach without symmetry or add in a symmetry that is less than the one you have used so not all the parts are being removed.

I doubt its currently a high priority to add that feature but you could suggest it here:
