Reactive mission debate.

Do you think that there should be reactive missions? I.E.G: Find Jeb’s lost sandwich on minmus, and you actually have to do an EVA and pick up an actual sandwich. Or rescue lost kerbals?

This is an interesting idea- part contract, part side quest, part mini game…

I have this vision in my head of getting an alert that Jeb has lost a sandwich on minmus, and launching a little drone/satellite to find the sandwich and return it to Kerbin. That would be perfect in a dumb way. It reminds me of that animated short where they get a birthday cake on eve.

 

Not to get political, but THIS is how you include silliness in the game (looking at you rocket wobble).

The rescue a Kerbal missions were some of my favorite, (possibly only favorite?) missions from the first game.

As long as it's completely optional gameplay I have no problem with it but I was hoping we'd move past the "career mode" of KSP1 in KSP2.
