I need you to build and fly a rocket that can take off from Kearth, enter orbit, fly to and land safely on the dark side of Kearth, then reenter orbit, then return within high-speed rescue boat range of KSP HQ!

No, Jeb, they can use parachutes!

Parachutes are allowed to assist in both landings, but if you use them we all know you're not a true thrillmaster. 8)

I've been working on this for 48 hours... Almost had it once, I managed to land an entire 3 stage rocket on the dark side. Then I fat fingered the launch and jettisoned the bottom stage at 700m : /

I was wondering how on earth you could lose a wing at that point.

My plane hit the atmo while boosting straight downwards. I see what happened now. XD

Yeah, it looks like if you hit atmo at orbital speeds.... your plane had best be very well reinforced XD Mine managed to survive, and I just barely regained control, at around 2000m XD

Just follow the trajectory of the reentry precisely and you should be fine.
