Forum search doesn't work?

Not entirely sure where to ask this, but is it known whether there are any issues with the forum's search feature? Several bugs I filed yesterday ended up being duplicates, but the searches I ran didn't turn up any results (and I guess there were a few too many bugs for me to reliably spot them manually). For example, searching in the Bug Reports category for "Going Green" (with or without quotes) turned up nothing, and specifically not this report:

Apologies to the bug reviewers for the extra work I caused.

The search feature is kinda bad  I will give you that.

In the case of "going green" I instantly have the bug report you linked though. Did you search in the right forum? Any options that could have compromised the search? Mobile or PC?

Also no worries for the "extra work", we are here for that. A lot of bug report you made are still being processed but most of them are not duplicate by the look of it.

Please try the following and it would be very helpful if you would report the results here in this thread.

Go to the top of any page in the forum and look for the search bar just under your avatar in the top right corner.

If you hover over it, you might see "This Topic" appear in response.  Ignore this and click the magnifying glass icon instead to take you to the search page.

Type in your keywords 'Going Green' into the Search Term box, ensure you have "All Content" checked and also ensure you have the All my search term words radio button checked.

Then scroll down and click Search Content.

I predict this will work for you.  If it does, please let us know, and then I will explain what the difficulty you encountered was.  And even if it doen't, let us know.

Good luck.

I've experienced the same problem as OP when reporting a couple of bugs yesterday, but it seems limited to the "Bug Reports" content type. For example, here's a search for "science" that had zero results for me:

Selecting "All Content" returns results from across the entire forum, including KSP2 bug reports that really should have been returned by the above search.

This worked, thanks.

For the record, what I tried before was to: go the search bar in the site header, click the dropdown in that search bar and change it to "Bug Reports", type "Going Green" into the search bar, and press Enter. That returned 0 results, and continued doing so even after editing the search string on that page to add quotes around "Going Green" and searching again.

Yes, I have never gotten the Going AND Green style syntax to work either.

Why the Invision default is OR is completely inexplicable.  Sturgeon's Law, quite possibly...

It’s fitting the search function has a bug related to bugs.

Yeah don’t use this bug report box, it’s not searching where it should right now. Probably going to change at some point (at least I hope).
