this video claims to be using a grasshopper from this pack but i've never seen one when i've used it.Why?

Because the grasshopper legs are still in testing phase (although really they just need to be textured)

Hey folks. Just a quick update because I realise it's been a while since I posted. Since the forum crashed I have not really been motivated to play or work on KSP but with the .20 patch around the corner I bet that will change. The Stinger and I have been busy but we should have time to work on KerbX again and so we're going to get together and come up with a plan. More on this later!

Its a tester for his pack I think, so its not in the pack yet

Yeah, that's my video.

As far as I'm aware, the legs just need to be textured, along with some small tweaks to the cfg. (most notably, the super legs)

Alrighty, The Stinger and I have had a chat and we now have a plan. In the next few days I will update the mod as it is to the new file formats and get the release thread up again. We will resume work on Falcon 9 v1.1 + Heavy, Grasshopper and the fully functional Dragon pod (including drogues and chutes). After that, the mod as it is now, will be retired as a legacy download. What this basically means is that F1 and F9 v1.0 will not be updated but we will continue to offer them as a separate legacy download. Future SpaceX hardware such as the F9R concept, crewed Dragon, Raptor/MCT and so on will of course be part of the mod as that stuff becomes official and we have something substantial to go on.

Expect WIP renders and screenshots in the weeks to come.

Hey Bork, Ill be out for June and July...

You'll miss a lot of SpaceX (and KerbX) stuff, but more importantly; enjoy your vacation or whatever it is you're doing!

Does this work perfectly with the dragon spacecraft mod by cardboardbox?

or do I need to wait for his own version of it?

IIRC cBBp's DragonRider is not scaled to any KSP standard (1.25/2.5/3.75m) so it won't fit the KerbX Falcon 9 without tweaking the part config files and even then it wouldn't be perfect. We have a Dragon of our own for you to use although it does not carry Kerbals.

Ill try Im teaching at a summer camp.

I did this once, was good fun in the end.

My holiday next year is probably going to be to Florida, in early August.

Oh look a Falcon 9 launch is planned that has no impact at all on were I said I wanted to go when my missus asked what holiday we should do... (Its Dragon CRS-6 :D)

Hello!

Here's a quick update:

Wuln12X.jpg

This is the Grasshopper version of the Merlin 1D which is now 99% complete. Since you last saw it I have added a bunch of detail but still managed to trim the poly count down by 1k to 4k tris. The Falcon 9 v1.1 M1D and M1DVac are not done yet but they will be soon as they build off of the M1D you see above. For Falcon 9 v1.1/Heavy there's going to be an overhaul of how the parts are structured to bring them more in line with stock parts with more regular attachment points and more separate parts (I'm working on a mockup of this that I'll show off later).

Oh and if you haven't seen it yet you have to check out this totally awesome LEGO Dragon.
