I went from spaceplane failures into boat semi-success and now want to become a boat expert... Well, my boat can go a whopping 8.3 m/s with 2 basic jet engines... Is there a way i can improve that?

Radial intakes have a high impact tolerance it I remember right. You could always have that part be the main water barrier.

Use wings as the base of your boat. That should speed up the boat quite a bit. I would show you some speedboats from the Kerbal Regetta Challenge, but that is gone now.
