nijntjepluis
Hi all! I'm going around tagging (flagging, actually) the anomalies on Kerbin. The one 50km to the west of KSC is on a (very) steep hill, and I can't get near enough with a BTDT scanner to scan it, because: every single rover or sensor pod I air-drop near it rolls down the hill before I can scan I can't get near enough with a plane for a scan, I'll fry into that mountain Any suggestions woould be very welcome, thanks! jimmymcgoochie
Unless it’s changed recently, the BTDT only needs to get within a few kilometres of the target to count it as scanned. It should be possible to do that with a plane if you fly past it close enough.
Krakatoa
For the landed result, I used something that could hover, and came down just enough to get a leg on the ground. If you're quick, you can get the scan on the bounce and get away.
king of nowhere
build better rovers. it's entirely possible to build some that don't roll down
