On Nov 7 2023, Jeb died in a SSTO crash, after that I put Bob in a plane and drove the plane next to the runway, then quit the game(wrong way, I quit by closing the game tab). But the next day when I opened ksp again, the plane is gone, and so is bob. Later when I was reviving Jeb using game file, I cant find bob in the kerbals, THE GAME DELETED HIM FROM THE FILE!!! Ik this is like a year ago but I want to solve this perhaps the biggest mystery in the history of ksp(not really). I NEED HELP! Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Martian Emigrant Posted October 9 Share Posted October 9 Hi. Not an expert here. I have lost Kerbals before and found them in the astronaut complex tabs. Check the assigned and lost tabs. If Bob is listed as lost he will re-spawn after a while. It depends if you are playing with a no respawn difficulty. If he is listed as assigned to non existing ship.....Maybe editing the game file to make him available. I don't remember if there is a MIA status or not. If Bob can't be found in the astronaut complex you can open the cheat menu. Cheat menu---->Kerbals. Is bob there? What is is status? If he as no existence you can create him from there. ME Yeah, he got deleted from the astronaut complex tab too, wasn't shown in active, no in a mission, not K.I.A, not M.I.A, so by gone i just mean GONE, he died like 30 ksp years ago and still not found :(, i guess the only option is to create another kerbal named bob. There are many times that my kerbal died, specifically because I always liked to run combat senarios using airplanes (boats and land combat vehicles are still pending.) But I had respawning kerbals always on, so they will always come back within an hour or 2 in-game time. But sometimes they would get listed as K.I.A. and so would never respawn again.
