Recommended Mods?

Hi,

I'm new to KSP and I looked at CKAN and realised that there are a LOT of mods.

Is there anywhere with a general comprehensive guide to popular mods or mod groups that work well together or what mods does anyone recommend. (Like Tech, Visual, FPS and other optimizations, QOL, Planets, et cetra)

My own tip would be: Be frugal with part mods and only install ones that you will actually use. Every part that you install will increase your load time and take up RAM the entire time KSP is running, so if you add some gigantic parts pack with extra versions of everything that you really don't need, you'll be paying performance costs for no benefit. If you really want just a few parts from one of them, this mod has options to help you prune the other parts from your install, once you get past its quite poor UI:
