Beyond Kerbol (NOT RELEASED)

Hello there.
This is merely a concept, I just want to see a reaction. Test the waters.

The idea has multiple stars, each with their own unique characteristics.

Star 1 (Deleye) (dell-i) A young star system.

A young star around formed 50 Mya, and orange in hue.

Large debris disks.

Deleye b (Charos)

A metal composed planet, large and a ton of lava.

Deleye c (Gurdok)

A small world, with a thick atmosphere and few craters, and like Mars long ago.
              Deleye cb

A  moon made from a collision like our moon.

Deleye d (Phatos)

A world on a oddly eccentric orbit, with a sphere of gas around it.

Deleye e (Noddegamra) (Spell that one backwards!)

A large gas giant spiraling inwards and spelling doom for any later hope of life in the system, lying currently just outside the habitable zone.

5 moons.

Maybe dwarf planets after?

Star 2 (Calisfinior) (cal-is-fin-or)A star reaching its end.

This originally sun-like star is now at its AGB phase, destroying the entire solar system around it in the process.

Calisfinior b ( Nebrok)

A Laythe-sized world incredibly close to the star, and cracks are visible. This once vibrant world is now just melting away. A faint ring system is visible, most chunks of the planet that cracked off.

Calisfinior c (Voom & Voam)

This binary system  is tidally locked to each other, roughly the same mass.  The planets are heating up and the once icecaps here are now blown away from the thermal pulses of the star. Little atmosphere is left.

      Cb

This tiny asteroid is merely orbiting and watching the chaos.

Calisfinior d (Ovous)

A super-Kerbin, this once Jool like world has had it’s gas blown away by the thermal pulses of the star, now like Super-Tylo, and a large ring system is visible.

(Various moons)

Calisfinor e (Gigantis)

This super-Jool is a far out world, and has gained and took mass from the thermal pulses, and maybe even a ring of gases.

Considering Beyond Jool's Tyrant is harder than Alternis Tylo, this is going to be a very tough nut to crack.

Yes, BUT, you could use a mod like Sandcastle to make it on a moon then ship it there.

However, maybe a slightly thick atmosphere.

I don’t want to imagine stock.

NEW STAR IDEAS BELOW THIS LINE.

————

Star 3 & 4 (Eternus A & B)A system special for having the only (stable) habitable world.

Two low mass stars, a K7V (A) and a M3V (B) star, in a binary. The stars are very close. It will likely be stable for over 50 billon years.

Eternus Ba (Ablate)

A very close, tidally locked world, Moho size. Melting away.

Eternus c (Tresed)

Orbiting the barycenter, Eternus c is a desert world, and may have 1 or 2 small moons. Duna sized. Rings?

Eternus d (Sunev)

Also orbits the barycenter,  Eternus d is a Kerbin gone wrong. A atmosphere thick, little to no land beyond the fading ice caps.

Eternus e (Emohwen)

A super-Kerbin,  this world is just larger than Kerbin, with 1.3 geeASL and an atmosphere 0.8 ATM, with oxygen. On the edge of the habitable zone, this world has some ocean, but is generally frozen over. It just needs a little kick. A small ring is present.

                  Eternus e1 (Minos)

                  A  Ike-sized world, orbiting Emohwen.

                   Eternus e2 (Lilac)

                    A purple moon, small.

Eternus f (Puud)

A gas giant, abnormally puffy and large. 2x Jool mass, 5x size.

Eternus g (Eci)

A ice giant. Moon system is tilted and generally like uranus.

What about a binary planet system with one oblate planet and another normal planet?

Now I think about it, that sounds really cool.

Kinda thought this might get more traction, as it is a mod discussion thread.

I wouldn’t mind any other suggestions or “you should do ABC instead of XYZ”

Well...

These are some ideas I have, mostly from messing around with Universe Sandbox for a bit. Would make these into a mod if I wasn't useless at texturing (and not busy with like 50 other things too lol).

-Very dense planet, about 350-500km radius, very thick atmosphere and global LH2 ocean, AKA Hyper-Eve. Not to be left.

-Metallic asteroid, with some scrapes and lumps on it's surface, maybe Minmus size.

-Proper Pluto-esqe body, as in massive glaciers alongside tholin-covered mountains. No idea for size.

-Kerbin-like planet with oceans, icecaps and grasslands, nothing too abnormal except for a massive impact crater, about Mun-sized across. White haze from steam in atmo.

-Just a though, but I'd love to see some sort of T CrB setup with one of the systems (roche lobe could probably be done with KopExp rings if they're locked to each other)

(maybe that could be Calisfinor?)

-Phaethon-like body, with lots of EVE clouds and the Moho stuff from AVP. Never seen one done before.

-Ceres-looking body, really just want to see a Occator Crater knockoff done.

Also, as for the current plans

-Looks good, If I ever get big on Kerbalism I will make sure the configs for this mod are hellishly lethal.

-The name 'Ovous' seems to fit more with an oblate body for me, but it's probably just my personal taste.

Maybe swap the names and designations? I feel like I remember Gigantis better than Califisnor e

Kronk will be dense- Tylo gees- but if we’re talking “not to be left” atmospheres,  Venus-style, ask Sunev. It'll also have little ocean. (Spell it backwards!)

Hmm. I’ll think about it.

I’d need to make use of particles and the scatter system, and the only one who seemingly knew how was @The White Guardian.

Eh, at some point a crater isn’t a crater anymore and rather just a lower elevation. This is why Aron’s crater isn’t bigger. I think, the planet would have done a Earth-Theia at that size.

Also- as with Beyond Jool- I try to make everything either special, or exist for “recreating XYZ mission”.

Earth-like worlds, I find, are a oddly common trait among planet mods.

You want Kerbin-like, try Emohwen. (Again, spell backwards.)

That will be done with the next star system, Luminos, but be much more like Cygnus X-1.

Added to Deleye.

That'll be done in DresBelt, along with making it oblate.

This is because some bodies are inspired by KSP2.

eg. Gurdamma -> Gurdok  Ovin -> Ovous. DebDeb -> Deleye.

Fair enough. That's what I like about New Horizons - other than Kerbin and Laythe, everywhere else oxygenated is a hellhole.

I was wondering why you were asking about getting sued over the names, that explains it.

I'll be honest, the planet I suggested requires so little texturing i could probably just do it myself.
