International construction ISS in Kerbal orbit.

The MIR docking probe isn't supposed to work with PMA. Put a clamp-o-tron on Zarya, or download the CSS and use it's (more accurate) APAS. PMA docking port does work.

Why don’t we set up a joint project to recreate ISS in orbit around Kerbin.

My suggestion is that a few people who can create high quality addons may share responsibility for the creation of parts for the ISS. (Like other realistic mods, 64% of thereal size)

Now it’s that

How make KSS ISS segment.

1. Open any information about your segment. Calculate 64% of the dimension and mass.

2. Make model and port them into game.

2.1 For simple cylinder part use 24side (or less) mesh.

2.2 Use photo for create texture

2.3 Use very simply collider for your parts (12 side or lees for cylinder part, and just box collider for small or simply parts.

2.4 If your real segment have IVA or EVA hatch, make interior and EVA hatch.

3. Construction.

3.1 ISS now have 2 type dock port. Russian style docking port (already use in MIR addon) and NASA style (In the Pre-Alpha, has issues as of .04).

I seem to be missing the entirety of the Russian side. No Zarya, no Zvezda, nothing

Anybody else having trouble with the Russian modules?

Those are the first two under the utility tab called ISS FGB and Mir Core Module.

I found this site, "spaceonline", to be useful. It has clear information on the arrangement of modules and the assembly sequence. I found that if I wanted more information I got better results when I took the assembly flight name from this site and did a google search.

If you want to see the proper assembly sequence, you can just use Wikipedia, or the actual NASA website, instead of that shady looking URL. The Wikipedia page even has accurate sizes for each module. Also, all the public logs for the missions are on YouTube, I've arranged them all into a playlist.

Hey if you want flashy over shoddy (ahem concise and complete) try this out.

Since the game update every time I undock something from the station it either explodes or shoots off at light speed. I don't know which part is causing the issue as once the station breaks up any pieces remaining docked can be undocked without an issue. Also since the update the station flops around like a wet noodle like there are being forces applied to it constantly. This only happens on the soviet docking ports and the truss docking ports. This light speed undocking explosion issue only occurs with the ISS parts specifically as I also have the MIR and it doesn't have any issues at all.

It's almost like when you undock a part the game sets it's velocity to zero, so it appears to shoot off because after undocking something in map view I can see the part on a steep suborbital trajectory several km behind me.

Also, this happens with or without quantum struts and/or joint reinforcement.

First off, thank you, to all those that helped put this project in the state its in now, and for the people attempting to quasi resurrect it.... Please, that's all I can say is Please. It gives so many of us real world interest in KSP. As for the overwhelming duty of making the NASA shuttles pack, I would be hugely impressed if they were done as well as Bobcats if not better, I take some of that back, it would be hugely impressive if it half way sucked.

As always from Oregon...thx a ton for making "my" KSP exp that much better.

Dren

BTW: I did go back 20 or so pages and did not see a link to the state of current build. Could some one link that soon.:(

I would like to submit this as an official bug for bobcat. I made a new installation of the game, added just the ISS, sovietpack and lionheads ATV and no other mods. The issue still occurs. First, the station still appears to be experiencing gravity in space because once I stop the flopping using RCS the parts are all bent towards the planet still like they are being pulled down. This is further confirmed when undocking. When I undock the part instantly goes to 0 m/s. You can see it on the map view as a suborbital trajectory.

I had a similar problem with a station composed mostly of ISS parts. When I tried to undock, it split in two. The parts don't seem to be responding to the physics correctly? Thrust (engines, RCS) does nothing, and their velocity (absolute value and it's vector) seems to be fixed, so that my station is slowly crawling away from Kerbin at a steady, unchanging 2000m/s.

Are you using a save with ISS already in orbit? It's possible that it's outdated. I've had no problems with ISS parts launched the normal way.

First try was reloading my station from .23 which did this. Second was building it again from scratch and launching by proton. Third try was hyper editing sections up and assembling them in orbit. I want to note that in pieces, even hyperedited sections were fine until they were all attached and craft or game reloaded or time warp used.

EDIT: Also it isn't just the truss warping. Look at all the pictures the ENTIRE station is bending down towards the surface.

Nope, it isn't. What do you want to make? We could use the Rassvet, ISS robotics (CanadArm2, MBS, Dextre) made using Infernal Robotics+KAS, ESPs, EXPRESS Logistics Carriers and perhaps the AMS-2.
