lol what has NRB done now :D

Okay, I'm a little slow catching on (not enough coffee yesterday. Or today, yet)...

Are there going to be endcap parts and fuel tank cylinder parts so we can do our own custom lengths (using part welding)? (he asks hopefully) I could have a field day slapping 7 of them into a 6-surrounding-1 fuel tank cluster for my Hydra-3 main stage, although adapting 2.5m upper stages to it might look a bit odd.

Errr...If I may ask...I finnaly got round upgradin to .21.1 and getting some mods (still deleting stuff I dont like...didnt had time for a single launch :( )...So as you can imagine, I m not up to date on this...is the RD-275K *that* RD-275 that is used on the Proton rocket...and does *that* possibly mean that we will see variations of the Proton rockets?! (as you already have the glorious NK-33, and as there were Proton designs from Mishin I think which had either 3 or 6 NK-33 on their 1st stage plus a central NK-43...and yes, RP/LOX powered)

EDIT:I read somewhere on the 50-and something page someone cared about the old angara pack engines...if CBBP d be fine with it...the guy who wants it can just pm me and Ill give it to him...never really liked having multi-nozzle engines so I always used the single-chambered version of that monstrous RD-170...

Yes the RD-275K is meant to be a KSP appropriate RP1/LOX variant of the latest Proton engine, the RD-275M (14D14M)

Not sure about future developments beyond the tanks already shown, but a Proton would require both 2.5m tanks for the central stack and something like the 0210/0211 second stage engines

I did a clean re-install yesterday, before that I had been using KOSMOS 4.5, yesterday I installed the fresh 4.6 release. Since then I've had the problem that APAS69 fall off my TKS bodies.

I had one attached to the TKS tapered body (the narrower end), another one to the 2m-end of a 3m-2m TKS adapter (two separate crafts). The APAS69 in one case was connected directly to the procedural fairings 5m base, in the other I put a decoupler inbetween - in both cases the craft has been additionally strutted with a copious amount of quantum struts. In both cases when separating from the carrier rocket (ANVIL IV) the APAS69 just broke from the part it was mounted on and floated merrily away in space - which was disappointing. I reloaded a couple of times, tried decoupling the APAS69 (e.g. instead of using the decoupler) - results did not vary.

Has anyone else seen similar problems?

I am intrigued. Does anyone have a list of parts in this pack? I've been at a loss for things to add to my space station and I'm only at 5 modules.

plenty of parts to stations inside :) am list would be pretty neat but expansive. there is ISS style panels though. nd in my sig you cna see the Dragon Capsule. Cannot go wrong with that thing.

this color scheme should do. also, auto shrouds will be replaced by customizable interstages and engine cowlings.

Bwah, real (gentle)man travel with RD-0120. (forgive me NK-33, you might be a gr8 rocket engine...but...but that ones so advanced and...ahh I know there are no excuses but you must understand...wait...what are you doing...NO...No...NOOOOO!)

Gotta ask smthing now, taking into account all the modularity (oh god, am I tiresome with all those speculational requests..but what can you do...except put me on ignore or contact a mod to ban me from the thread...:P), is there a chance we re gonna see, say, the Soyuz-3? RD-0146E is here, NK-33 is here, you would just have to do RD-0155 (and maybe the conical strap-ons were changed...or werent they), and with all these components, you could create a Zenit rocket, too!

Problem solved (sort of):

wrd0155.jpg

It's a really interesting engine. It has a gimbaled inner chamber and a fixed outer chamber, with different pressures in each. Dunno how to model that in KSP, though.

Wait Im stupid...I read it somewhere wrong...RD-120 is used on the zenit 2nd stage...ffs I should shoot myself...dunno why I have to embarass myself all the time...

Not to mention how...ugh...complicated the 0155 looks, and that its overall worse then the 120...im stupid²

I do not believe that to be the RD-0155. any Soyuz 3 mockups have a single nozzel. russian designs have advanced beyond the need for multi nozzle designs like they once needed to solve large chamber instability. also, the quality of that photo is awful terrible for something that was "designed" in 2009.

edit: though I suppose the different fixed and gimbals chambers would explain he dual nozzles... not sure why they wouldn't just make the whole engine gimbal and have one nozzle.
