Is KSP precise enough to establish a GPS or GEO satellite network?

I can't exactly answer your question with a number. However, I have a save with a bunch of geosynced sats(edited into orbits with hyperedit). I let time accel run for a few hours on high, came back and they were all still exactly where I left them. No clue if that helps or not.

I use mechjeb to set my remote tech comms to second accuracy orbital periods. That's still not quite enough which is why I use 6 per orbit. In reality all satellites use station keeping engines and even then only last so many years in their orbit before coming back down.

I've been launching and positioning synced my RemoteTech satellites by hand. The orbits I get are pretty close. My last Kerbin synced satellite looks like

SMA = 3468774.00236996
ECC = 1.05486218982213E-05
INC = 0.000512411442541808

Around that point, the apoapsis and periapsis markers start jumping around, and it's difficult to get the altitude any finer. But once I get them that close, I'm happy to use hyperedit or similar to correct them so they'll stay put. Putting a network of satellites in orbit is fun, but constant maintenance of them is not. :(

Would you mind to share the SMA for GEO? For the time being I don't want to get MechJeb, so I'll be happy to use hyperedit.

I don't have it. :( I did pull a figure for SMA from these forums, but that was lost in the crash, and I even restarted my save (thanks to big changes in the RemoteTech mod). Was planning on calculating it myself from the Wikipedia article.
