[STOCK] parts only: Need Help Docking Solar Panel Station.

Hello Guys,

I am fairly new to KSP and need some help docking two similar designed Solar Panel Stations together. Both Stations are made of STOCK parts only and have plenty of fuel to reach orbit.

I have been trying for weeks now to dock them together but I just can’t seem to line them up for docking.

Anyone interested in giving it a go?

Thanks.

Which is to say, if you've not got the terminology down, face the first one so that the dock is pointing north, then pull the second up next to that and face its port south.

That way they won't be spinning relative to each other.

Also keep in mind that everything is moving in circles (or, technically, ellipses) but not in straight lines. So what looks like the correct direction is actually some degrees off. Like rolling a tire; if you push on one side, it turns that way a quarter turn later.

East takes you out. Out takes you west. West takes you in. In takes you east.

So unless you're very close to your target, burning for intercept means rotating your mind 90°.

Zephram... You really scared me there. For the past couple months, there have been 3 things that have occupied pretty much all of my free time. Seriously, 1. KSP 2.Niven and 3.TNG.

Your post references all three....

I'm going to have to make sure all of your posts don't show up while I'm asleep!

There are too many wizards and witches on this forum. Shall we burn them immediently or weigh them first?
