cannot return to space centre

Hello all, I've just landed a rover on Eve but when I hit escape to return to the space centre the option was grayed out and my only choice was to end the mission. Is there a way of keeping a rover active which I can then take control of again through the tracking station?

I had this problem when i lost one of my Kerbonauts, i had a command module and three Kerbonauts, after losing one no matter what i did Spaceport was greyed out, i had to end flight too.

I currently have a rover on the Mun and if it's moving i can't go back to spaceport, i must be standing still and breaks on, have you tried putting your breaks on? It's a long-shot but i'm afraid i can't think of anything else.

Make sure you are not throttled up. Press your X key (default) to set throttle to 0.

Thanks!

I had finally landed the Rover, then I spent an hour rolling to the bottom of a hill because even if I had zero speed I thought it didn't count if brakes were on.

I had 1% throttle and didnt think of it since I had no rocket :P

I cut all throttle and could return to the space center.

Now I can drive around on the Mun whenever I want :)
