Kerbin Flight

Lately, I like to build planes that are capable of flights around the entirety of Kerbin. I'm talking jets here, not space planes. I had an easy time of this in 19.0, but am having a bit of difficulty with it in 19.1. Before, I'd average a speed of about 1500m/s and would complete the trip in about 45 minutes. Now with the current version I am running out of fuel mid way through with similar designs I've used in the past. ;.; I know its a bit of bore, but do any of you do this? What designs do you use and what is your average speed and time?

Hmm, I've never tried making a jet that could circumnavigate Kerbin. I don't have the patience :P

I don't know why your designs work in 0.19.0 but not 0.19.1, to my knowledge it was just a minor update patch.

Are you flying at the same altitudes as you did previously? I know that the jet ISP changes depending on altitude, so that could be your problem there.

I try to fly as high as possible, usually between 20-26,000 meters. I admit I just installed .19.1 today and haven't tested it all that thoroughly yet. I just wanted to see what others have been up to in regards to circumnavigation.

The new update shouldn't have anything to do with it at all. Have you installed any new mods recently? Some mods can screw with things.

No mods, though I will probably install all of the plane related mods I can find. I may have jumped the gun in complaining though as I've only had three test flights on this latest version. I'll report back on it. I'm glad to see I've inspired a challenge thread I think. Good luck all!
