Sry i don't support that version anymor, its possible that the mod export is broke =(

Pls, wait just a few more days and the 2.0 will be out. =)

Is there a way to disable the mod-update-checking? Because there is something wrong :D Either it's not implemented yet, oooor all my installed (and newly downloaded, from threads with "1.0.2" in the topic) mods are outdated.

Either way, I'd like to have the modlist ignore the "datedness" of mods when it comes to the visual representation.

I think you speak of the 2.0.0.14. Normally the add via url should get the right update state of a mod. Which mod (name, version) did you add and where was the download from?

Woot 2.0 is out get it from first post ...

This is a complete overhaule of KSP MA 1.4.x.

First there are only the core features like

- Mod management

- Mod updating

- Conflict solving

- Mod import/export

- Plugin support (Modding of KSP MA=)

All missing features from the 1.4 will be added over time.

Sry to all linux & mac users, the download link to that version was wrong (it was the win download).

Most of KMA² would still work, but to be 100% sure please redownload the linux /mac version from the now correct link from first post.

MacTee, haven't you think about integration with CKAN repository? Their database looks most complete and up to date. Also it is much better structured and getting data from it would be easier than parsing webpages of github or kerbalstuff.

Nice job MacTee, the KMA2 is great! And I also prefer it without the built-in browser.

Here are some issues I met during my use:

- A mod turns blue when it's outated, but doesn't turn back to it's normal color when its infos are modified (like in KMA 1.4)

- When using the "Get ModInfos" button in the ModInfo Editor, the Additional link is erased.

- Also, when using the "Get ModInfos" button with a "KSP Forum" version control, the ProductID get wrong data (I got this issue with KMA 1.4 too)

- When using the "Copy ModInfos" function, the Mod Version get the archive path.

- The integrated mod downloading works great but is missing a progress bar.

Here are some issues I met during my use:

Which fields where modified and how?

- Also, when using the "Get ModInfos" button with a "KSP Forum" version control, the ProductID get wrong data (I got this issue with KMA 1.4 too)

I havn't done much on that front, i'll dive into it ;)

- The integrated mod downloading works great but is missing a progress bar

A Progressbar is on my todo list but with low priority.

- When using the "Get ModInfos" button in the ModInfo Editor, the Additional link is erased.

- When using the "Copy ModInfos" function, the Mod Version get the archive path..

Will be fixed in the next version (Fix is already on GitHub).

One thing I miss or haven't found is the Part Browser. I would love to have that one back.

Almost all "old" features from the 1.4 will be implemented in the new version too. But step by step =)

Next Feature will be the BackupTab.

Thanks :) The PartBrowser was especially useful to find an "unused" part which didn't make any sense to have (for one's personal playstyle) to truncate from the mod, for better loading times or in case of troublesome ram usage.

I run in a few problems. First, downloading mods from Cure sometimes seems to took endless (i waiting two hours), the only way is to kill MA with the taskmanager, i could find anny other way to chancel downloads. And if you kill the task, all mods you download or install since the launch of MA are lost.

Secondly, modpack export seems not to work, get the error 'could nod AddEntry: [modname]', i try it with all mods, and difrent single mods. After this if i try again, i get 'Auf das verworfene Objekt kann nicht zugegriffen werden. Objektname: "frmIMExport"'. Only restarting MA helps.

Third, many times i get 'Unexpected Character encountered while parsing value: S. Path ", line 0, position 0.' when i copy & paste a URL in the add mod window. When i paste the same URL again it work.

The last two are not critical i think, but the first one, will mak me throwing my computer out of the window ;). If any thing make MA not respondig ad you kill the task, all you 'work' is lost. So please let MA save more often.

EDIT:

Oh and a few more things. Checkbox 'borderless' would not save after closing MA. And a few resolutions ar missing, i forgot wich one, because i install all mods the 5th time now :mad:. First i think i press the wrong button, all mods whrer deleted, all other times, because MA not responding and i have to kill it and lost all progression. I lost 5 houers of my life. I could cry :(

EDIT 2:

After i hopefully installed all mods again, so i could start KSP, i could say wich resolution i'm missig. 1920x1200 But i think, out there are people who also use 2560x1440 and more :)

Known issues:

After i start KSP MA i get the following error message:

"Unexpected runtime error: "An attempt was made to load an assembly from a network location which would have caused the assembly to be sandboxed...""

This happens when windows has flaged the files of KSP MA as a web download.

You have to allow access to following files HtmlAgilityPack.dll, KSPModAdmin.Core.dll, Newtonsoft.Json.dll, SharpCompress.dll and plugins/KSPModAdmin.Translation.Plugin.dll manualy by

1. Right click the dll

2. Chose properties

3. Click "Unblock"

Yes there is a small bug where KMA² runs into a endless loop during a download from curse or curseforge, when the file to download already exists on your HD.

It will be fixed in the next version.

2.

Which export settings are you using?

Which other mods where added or installed?

Was the mod to export installed?

The KSPMA.log fiel would help too.

3.

The only thing i can think of is that your copy scource contains some special characters which aren't shown.

Try to select only the URL to copy and not for example a complete cell from a excel sheet.

4.

The borderless checkbox is on my todo list.

5.

Yes KMA² might miss some resolutions. I use very simple code to detect resolution, without checking the graphic card.

Well, in KMA 1.4, changing any ModInfo would revert the mod to its normal color.

Here, even making a new check with an "Up to date" result let the mod blue colored.

No problem, somtimes i programming too and i know, how much testing you do, when software meets user there will be errors you never see in testing or even think about them :D.

2. This is my actual mod list (seems that export in text file work *yeha* :D ) All mods with [+] are installed. I also tryed exporting with only 5 mods in KMA² with the same result. I also tryed 'run as admin' dosen't work either. I export to c:\games\ on Win 8.1 if that make any difference because of rights.

3. I cut out thr URL from the firefox adress field (ctr+c) and post it in KMA² (ctr+v) get the error and smply press (ctr+v) again, and it work. So i dont think that there ar any special characters i might not see. I only can imagine that, because i switch to firefox on the second monitor and back to KMA² there will some hidden character in the KMA² input field.

The importen one was, that the export was with "Include mod archives" on. ;)

I don't know what exactly is broken but i can reproduce the bug now.

Quick solution is:

Use the export with the "Include mod archives" option off.

KMA² saves the URL of the exported mod (if it has one) and the name of the mod archive.

On a later import KMA² will download the mod if it wasn't found under <Download/Mod Path>/<Saved mod archive name> ("Options -> Path -> Download/Mod Path" + archive name).

Hey, perhaps I am missing something but you cannot set up the Linux version to run without a workaround:

Steam install KSP in a hidden path from Home ".local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/Kerbal Space Program" and Mod Admin does not account for that.

A workaround for that would be to create a link to the install directory and use that instead. In my example the install directory looks like this "/home/vytautas/KSP Mod Admin/Link to Kerbal Space Program", where the link is "/home/vytautas/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/Kerbal Space Program"

- KSP launch panel will be disabled when no settings.cfg was found.

- Additional link will be kept during a ModInfo update.

Oh, one small detail...

I dunno if it's a KSMPA-problem or KSP, but trying to do Borderless Window (fullscreen resolution) with OpenGL forced throws a KSP-error :/

Is it an error like "Couldn't switch to requested monitor resolution" ?

If yes, this problem exists since KSP 1.0, especially with a multiple monitors environment. The work around is to add "-adapter 1" in the launch options, where "1" is the screen number. Maybe MacTee could add this option to KMA ?
