CHALLENGE TO ALL SpacePlane BUILDERS

Recommended Posts

Hey ALL this is a Challenge to ALL SpacePlane builders to build a space place to reach an orbit of 100KM min and being able to stay there. The rules are You are allowed only liquid fuel rocket engines. that means NO Jet Engines at ALL. You may design ur craft to have docking port for refueling. It must contain RCS fuel and thrusters as well. The only Mod allowed in this Challenge is MechJeb. But Note You may only add 1 pod from Mech Jeb. When returning to Kerbin u must beable to glide back even when bingo fuel.

Well... The rules don't specify how many stages there can be. And don't specify the ascent profile of the required plane.

I could builld a five-staged rocket with a couple of winglets, do a normal ascent to 100 km and win the competition.

Also, Everyone can design a SSTO that can go to a 100 km orbit (It's a pretty standard orbit). Your challenge would be more fun if you required us to be able to get on a free-return trajectory from a moon transfer without docking in space, and then land liike a glider.

True on the part of where it would be more fun to glide back. but there is also the thing it's a plane not a rocket with winglets. so if u try that You'll get disqualified. :P
