Saving ships of planetary orbit

Hi,

I've started playing KSP recently and i decided to launch one of my rockets strait out. I managed to get into a wide orbit of the solar system but it looks as though i can't save the ship (doesn't let me go to space center, only end flight). Isn't it possible to save flights that are out of the Kerbin Planetary System?

You need to select Space Center and not End Flight, and your throttle needs to be zero, it helps to have SAS off and timewarp on x1 as well
