Hi all!

New Kerbonaut from Norway here!

I've been playing the game for a couple of weeks now and absolutely love it!

I haven't tried anything really fancy yet, but as soon as Space Station 1 is a bit more complete, I'll use it as a refuel and staging area for my upcoming conquest of Mün!

Here's what Space Station 1 looks like at the moment:

I think getting to Mun is way way easier than building a station also takes not as much time. all though i think stations are more rewarding. Also it is not really necessary to refuel to get to mun I very rarely do unless i have a big cargo to ship.

Thanks for the welcomes everyone :)

Welcome to the community Kennethah81 :)

That's a pretty good station! What's behind those metal plates though?

Have fun finishing your station and fly safe!

Thanks! I'm pretty satisfied with it so far tough I think I'll add some fuel tanks later. :)

Those octagonal sections consist of Structural Fuselages, Modular Girders and Structural Panels. I wanted a module type that could act as Laboratories or Cargo Storage's without having to use fuel tanks as stand-ins and without using mods, so that was what I came up with. I haven't looked at the numbers, but i think they are way lighter than fuel tanks the same size, and that allowed me to launch them with a fairly simple launcher. :)

I haven't aimed for the Mün yet, but based on YouTube and everything I've read, I think you are 100% correct. :)

But I'm fascinated by space stations, and needed a sort-of rationale for building one, and that was the excuse I came up with
