NathanKell
Hate to necro a thread, but since you're (Fiddlestyx) still around and active I'm hoping it's OK. A friendly reminder/suggestion: spaces in partnames are bad stuff; if you do ever update this further, can you make sure partnames don't have spaces? (. and _ are also kinda bad, since KSP decides to flip them for some reason.)I ask this since I'm about to add support for them in one of my mods, which operates by ModuleManager patch [which chokes on spaces].Also, I find it tragicomic in the extreme that these original engines have more realistic-looking bells than the current ones. (Partly because LiquidEngine1 is a direct clone of the F-1, etc.)
MedwedianPresident
I think you should make a IVA for the command pod. It should have the "old parts" feel too, maybe with only simple instruments and seating 3 kerbals. You also might do an expansion pack with more "old stock"-styled parts. Anyways, thank you for satisfying my ( and Jeb's) nostalgia! I remember my first Mun landing!EDIT: The pod has 2 windows, doesn't it? You can make it 2-man, there already is a Gemini-styled pod that is 1.25 meters and 2-man. And you can notice in the interior of the Mk-1 pod gives the Kerbonaut lots of space; i think if you squeeze the two kerbonauts inside into a little space it might work. It is also okay if it is one kerbonaut but it has multiple windows. Don't forget to give it the 0.13 feel and not the new stock parts feel. This pod is too small to be manned.

Are you sure about that? You can make kerbals smaller in Unity. You modify their height and width and other and put them thereYou cand do thatWatch my signature! I want part tools but 0.21 part tools(pre-made) is a virus now!And part tools 0.23 are almost imposiblle to install. And make 3 seats! Edited April 22, 2014 by The Jeb. DracovaXIV
In case someone still needs these, the original upload was mirrored on Curse by someone. http://www.curse.com/ksp-mods/kerbal/222569-the-original-kerbal-space-program-parts-pack"Rip that sucker right off the pedestal - it's going bang, zoom, straight to the Mun!" would make a good description. It doesn't have a hatch though, so you can't do EVA. :\ I think the old pod needs a retexture, a hatch, and an IVA. Actually, the way it is, it could be a good tech level 1 pod before you unlock the Mk1 at the next level: no hatch because EVA has not been worked out by Kerbal engineers yet. Compensate for it by making the pod lighter.
passinglurker
Its possible to add a hatch for EVAing. Just model yourself a door with functioning hatch and ladder colliders and use a MODEL node in the part.cfg file to "weld" it on.
DracovaXIV
Why as a matter of fact, there's a perfect hatch for that in the Lack Luster Labs pack. I'll rescale it to half size and see what I can do.I'll also see if I can draw up a new texture for the capsule. Wonder what to stick in those "vents"... They look so out of place. blspblackdeath
Hello Fiddlestyx,I know it is a necro but I still have the mod and it still works in 0.25.I have the idea that this mod could be merged with SparkyFox's [0.25] In With the New and Old (IWNO).But I wanted to ask for permission before I share the files or get in contact with SparkyFox. I have become really busy in RL, but have no fear these parts may be coming back (with a proper license this time).
