Vega VV02 Launch

Tomorrow, on the 4th may at 02:06 am UTC/GMT the second Vega rocket will be launched from Guiana. I thought i remind everyone who is interested.

Commentator says that the SRBs are for raw thrust while liquid fuel is for precision. Shouldn't that mean that KSP's SRB's should have a lot more power than they currently do? I find I can get more power out liquid in KSP. That sounds wrong imho.

Yes the SRB's in KSP are useless right now. Too short burn times and not enough thrust.

There are only small SRBs right now, they are sized quite well for a 1 kerbal rocket. I would like to think in the final game there will be 3 or 4 engines both SRB and liquid for each size tank. Just look at KW for some scaled up SRBs and a wider liquid range of engines.

That was pretty lousy-ass liftoff footage...right to animation. It's nice that the data on the animation assured me that there were 0.0 dogs on board.

My first thought when someone posted that the launch was delayed was, "Ah...I bet they forgot the set the staging sequence...I always do that."

It wasn't visible because of all the clouds so they switched to the animation. Whats wrong with that?

Wrong? Nobody said there was anything wrong with it. Just disappointing. At least they have better quality animation than Walter Cronkite had back in the Apollo days when similarly disappointing things happened. But they'd have even cooler animation if the used KSP

I do acknowledge the mistake of using LFEs for first and second stages though, but I had to do it to make it look like the real one since there was no 2m and 3m wide SRBs that time (1,75m was the closest I got, but it's not enough). Might as well recreate it some time
