Kerbal Flight Industries Valiant (Tug)

Recommended Posts

Introducing the KFI Valian [TUG], a versatile tug designed for operations in Cis-Munar space, chiefly tugging landers and rovers between LKO and munar orbit.

Tips for flight:

1. Start with throttle at two ticks above the one-third mark.

2. Double tap '1' to de-activate gimbal on the Rockomax engines.

3. Fly to 10,000 meters with appropriate throttle adjustments to be at around 200 m/s when there.

4. Press '1' to re-activate gimbal, turn over to 45 degrees, and up throttle.

5. Continue slowly turning over until you reach 90 degrees when going around 1000 m/s.

6. Raise apokerb and circularize at desired orbit.

7. Unfold solar panels and antennae, then celebrate!

8. Don't forget to de-orbit the circularization stage using the built in probe body. No space debris!

The Valiant comes with improved communication abilities with the addition of two Communotron 88-88's to the standard set up of two Communotron 16 antennae, allowing for seamless communications during missions reaching all the way to Minmus and beyond!

I'm very sad this hasn't recieved any replies.

The nite-lite docking technology made me laugh, AND would be pretty useful!

This is really cool- So, when you say LKO, you mean a close pass to the Mun that doesn't actually get into orbit?

Totally agree, the night light docking is pretty thoughtful. Good work friend!
