What do you think about MechJeb 2

Mechjeb is basically the easy button. In my case, i'm having it do my node manoeuvers because i always crap out either on the time warp, the duration or the strenght of the throttle. Jeb gets it right to a margin orders of magnitude better than what i can do by hand.

I prefer 2.0 much better. The node system integration alone is just awesome. Custom windows is my number #2 best new feature.

It would be my favorite but apparently I'm the only one who has to set up all their windows again every time I, say, separate a child MJ2 craft from a mothership MJ2 craft. It's super-duper annoying. It would be nice to be able to set up a 'master' template at the very least that all MJ2 crafts default to at first loading.

I'd also like windows to be able to be minimized, and when the title bar is moused over, it pops the window up to allow me to hit a button. If I move the mouse from over the window, it minimizes again. Smart ASS and Translatron are often needed, but it's either have them take up tons of screen space, or have to click the Mechjeb master tab, find them on the list, select them to show them, do what I want, then repeat to re-hide them.

Depends on what you think the base game should involve. I'm happy to use Mechjeb because painstaking circularizations-oh-great-I-missed-the-apoapsis gets really repetitive and tedious.

I am really liking Mechjeb2, only complaint I have is how much RCS fuel it will use, but I just turn it off and on when I can tell mechjeb needs the extra help.

I'm kind of surprised that after all the complaints about RCS in MJ1 that there isn't a feature for RCS controls. What I'd like is a rotation threshold and an RCS output threshold. For example, if the ship is already rotating at x degrees per second, don't apply more RCS thrust (allowing it to drift and conserve RCS). Or to cap all RCS outputs at y% (smart translation aside). Smart RCS rotation would be nice as well, so that when I say to rotate clockwise on the Z-axis, if an imbalanced RCS thruster starts to cause me to pitch or roll, it counteracts it. Kind of like a KillRot module that simply doesn't KillRot on the rotation I'm telling it to apply.

i like more the 2.

But I still dont find how to do some things that i do with the 1, like circulazing.

Also idk why.. is more safety land with the 1.

Use the maneuver planner. It's how everything is handled now. Push the left or right buttons until you get 'circularize', then below it select when you want the node to be planned (apoapsis, time, or periapsis). It'll make a node. Then you select 'execute next node' if you want MJ2 to do it, or just do it manually.

I really love the execute node function. I wanted to go to the Mun, mechjeb set up an path. I modified it to get an polar orbit with an nice and close pe, execute. inside mun soi, I made the pass more polar, then I made an node to get into orbit. executed it, close to ap I was in correct height so I circulated.
