Hi everyone... and how do I get version 0.19.1 ?

Hi everyone,

Finally purchased KSP... played the demo some time ago and liked it, saw what progress had been made and decided to purchase.

Can't wait, had a little initial trouble with the space bar only randomly launching the rocket and several unhappy occasions of unhappy Kerbals sitting in a flaming wreck on the landing pad but fixing it is half the fun :-)

One area this newbie does need help though is in the upgrade please. I've downloaded 0.19.1 as per the instructions... clicked on profile, downloaded file ksp-win-0-19-1 , dropped it into a new folder ran it and found out in the bottom right its v0.18.2.

I'm running on PC, purchased from the Kerbal site not Steam.

I've run the patcher, tried every option and also put the patcher into it's own folder and run it etc. and it still seems to download v0.18.2.

Everytime I run the game it tells me that:

New Version Available

There is a new version out! (0.19.1)

This update requires a full download. Press update to open the KSP store.

which puts me back to where I started...

I've a feeling I'm doing something stupid....

Thanks for your help chaps and chappettes. Look forward to speaking with you on the forums :-)

Now back to that WIKI....

Cheers

Matt

Cool, thanks for letting me know. I'll steer clear. Is there a place to sign up for updates to keep up with releases/patch info etc.?

I'm night time landing in the other window and... darn it crashed. Who put the floor above 500m then? Poor Kerbals

Most stuff like version releases and patchnotes gets published right here on the forums in form of articles or blog posts.

The shown altitude is only the Average Surface Level or sea level (depending on whether or not the planet/moon has an ocean). In case you haven't figured out yet, always fit your night side landers with lights (and lots of batteries).
