*Now back :D* Although, this picture is slightly outdated, a new one will come.

I and Germalto are proud to present (again) the M.M.M Mod. A bunch of hollow parts designed to make bases on the surface of almost every space bodies in Kerbal Space Program! (*almost* exactly. This thing is absolutely not design for very low gravity, like Gilly. If you want to try, it's your problem, but don't complain that your kerbals tend to not stick to the floor.)

But... What is it, exactly?

Well, this pack now contains:

- [Corridor Module]: A corridor! You heard me right, a long non-regular octagonal tube that is designed to contain your Kerbals on EVA. Now with 100% more windows.

- [Central Connector Node]: A four-way node! Like the 6-ways that is already in game, but with only four ways ( :( ) BUT it is the size of the corridor, and you can walk through it ( :D )

- [Observation Module]: A big module that is the form of a hexadecagon, and that has a transparent-blueish roof, and large transparent-blueish windows (The color transparent-blueish will be patented... I hope.) This thing is brilliant, I mean, really, although I don't recommend being in it while in orbit, or without significant gravity. The interior can get really... dead-spacey.

- [Modular to 2.5m Adaptor]: The most simple part, yet the most useful. It's an adaptor that be attached to a 2.5 meter part on a side (the round one...) and to a Modular Module on the other side. Isn't it awesome?

- [Landing Legs]: They're animated, sleek, and they fit perfectly under the corridor. They act as regular landing legs, press G to deploy, or map them to an action group.

- [Airlock]: An airlock that opens and closes. Can be opened in EVA and in regular view. Warning: This airlock isn't airtight when opened.

- [Ramp]: A ramp that attaches to the end of a corridor to allow kerbals to get in and out, and even very little rovers (think: Sojourner-like, I don't want to hear complains like: "My Curiosity-rover tried to get inside the corridor and broke everything")! Warning: They tend to get slippery under low gravity. Although, it shouldn't hurt the Kerbals, since it's low gravity.

- [stairs]: Static beautiful and unsafe stairs to climb into a module. They attach to the bottom node, and can be undocked to allow expansion of a base. They can NOT be used after. Warning: Due to Kerbals not knowing our to climb stairs, we use a force field that tends to get slippery under normal gravity, make sure your kerbals don't stand still on the stairs, or they will likely slip.

- [Jumpod]: A pod. Yes, you heard me right! A pod that allows for one kerbal to get inside, and take the control of your base. Equipped with IDN. Although, since it attaches to the END of a corridor, I hope nobody will use this function, since it implies that there's a Kerbal stranded with his pod, alone.

- [Engine Room]: Take a corridor, put fuel in its walls until it inflates, then strap some engines under it. Inefficient when used in normal conditions, useful when landing. It has a large gimbal range to allow for more asymetrical design, but don't go wild, laws of physics still apply.

AND because this is the funny feature of this mod... All parts (except the round side of the 2.5m adaptor, obviously) are equipped with this brand new technology: "Integrated Docking Nodes".

What is IDN?

- IDN designs the presence of hidden docking nodes at strategic points in our modular modules. (No, it's absolutely not a tautology) Which means you can dock dynamicaly all the modules. And there's no worry to have about how will the connection go between two modules ("What if my second corridor is rotated at 90°?") Well, it's technically impossible for two modules to dock at an angle between then, except at 180°, which means that one of the two modules is upside-down... And in this case, it's your fault. And to avoid this last problem, the name of the mod is written on the side of the corridor. :D

What does it look like?

Like this:

Warnings and Recommendations:

- This mod is in discontinued development, but it should be fine. I didn't see any major bugs, expect none, report the few you'll find :)

- We're not responsible for any damage it could do to your game, it's supposed not to, and many people ( I ) can run it fine (This is only here as a filler, in fact.)

- Most parts are correctly rotated in the SPH, in the VAB, you just have to press S to have them right. (Very important for the four-ways node.)

- Launching a base with this mod into space can be tricky, Landing it even more. For landing, your best bet is parachutes and/or engines.

What's coming next?

Probably something, but not soon.

Where do I download it? :D

Can you add transparent-blueish windows to corridor module together with door/airlocks? It would be a bit silly to meticulously lock airlock, and then go for a merry walk through corridor wide open to space.

It will likely be done. Either this update or the next one :)

Welcome back! mmm is bee's knees ;) At whaat times are you or your team online? I live in sweden haha ;P But the commandmodule is pretty done =) if you havnt tried this basepack its a must cheers

Well, we both are located in Europe, so it won't be a problem.

And I'm online pretty much all day long, if not, between 5p.m and 10p.m :)

Also, I saw the command module. We plan to make our pod the same way, if we manage it :D

We've made really big progress in the next update.

Although... I have to ask, we've got two way of animating door:

- The stock one, which allows for control as any part of a normal ship (except solar panels).

- The Vanguard Plugin one, which allows for a kerbal outside to open them in EVA. Although, it does require the Vanguard Plugin.

Which one would you prefer to see implemented? It wouldn't be a problem to allow them both to be downloaded, also.

Ohh, this will make for a very cool planetary base. Have you guys considered adding domes? Like a inflatable 'igloo' habitats, or glass domes acting as greenhouses?

i can neither confirm nor deny these accusations, all i will say is that the next few updates will be very interesting ;)

Damn. then me asking about command center style pods wouldn't get a answer...?

Also, too bad there is no way to simulate gravity in pieces for usage in open space... Otherwise I'd gleefully deorbit my space stations and replace them with stations made of these pieces....

I've got some things in the initial planning stage for something like this, definatly won't be in the next update tho

Ah. I had another idea; a smallish "Hanger" with a door in the side ( for spaceplanes to roll into when the hanger is in a gravity field) and one in the roof (to be used for planes, drones, missiles, and other stuff in zero grav conditions). After all, be fun to be able to do maintenance on your planes in a shirtsleeves environment, no?
