OK, how does that happen.

Simple. the server would have had anti-idle scripts installed.

like if you don't move for 60 seconds you get banned/kicked (sometimes)

so if you die at the beginning like a noob with no hats, you could get banned just for spectating the rest of the match.

Banned from some random Anon IRC network, because of the ISP I connected through.

Banned from a channel on a similar network because one of the ops was being silly.

Unbanned and reconnected five seconds later. So I got channel ops, set ban on *!*@* and went kick crazy for a bit.

Then got banned. Then got unbanned. Wash, rinse, repeat.

Me and a friend have gotten banned from multiple battlefield 3 servers for "hacking" (we get attack helos and one of us flys while the other guns, which works very well.) and it even got to the point where someone got mad and stole my friend's account and got him global banned for multihacking. EA won't help of course so now he can't join any servers and basically lost an entire game.

Banned from an Arma 2/DayZ server because a hacker came on and was giving everyone free stuff. I didn't even pick up the gear either. Everyone on the server was banned...

Last time I was banned from anything, it was on an Unreal sever when I was I think 12-13 years old. Someone I didn't like entered the server I was on. He didn't like me either, so after a brief argument, he requested admin privileges from the admin, who he was friends with at the time. The admin gave it to him, and shortly afterward I was permabanned from the server.

Another strange one happened on the same game a few years later. My game got hacked by some mouthbreather and messed everything up. When I got it fixed and logged on to accuse him of screwing my game up, the admin (incidentally the same admin from the last story) didn't like me doing that and he temp-banned me. After that, it was just one massive drama tsunami.

Once, i got banned from a TF2 server for complaining about a MLP Well... Nude spray (best way i could word it without seeming crass).... they said it was mine... I hate bronies though....

hmm well, got perma-banned from xbox live for playing a friends game that he let me borrow (recovered his gamer tag on my system)......turns out he had a cracked version of it, or some such...lol...and I tried explaining it to the live reps but naturally they didn't believe me. So, I lost all my games and stuff I bought...

Needless to say I was confused considering it was GTA and I made an adult joke... just... it still hurts my brain to this day!

Mhm, kay, my friend was a mod on a Minecraft server and the owner needed help with the spawn, so he gave me creative mode, so I helped with the spawn and everything, then the owner leaves and says I can keep creative until he gets back on, so me and my friend were going around building awesome things, and then a mod who was on the WHOLE time this was going on, goes "ERMAHGERD! HISA H4CKIN!" And I'm like, "No, the owner gave me creative." "Y4H RITE!" *ban*.

I Skyped the owner and he unbanned me, the mod was demoted to a lower rank. XD

I have a story back from the Minecraft Deadmau5's Sever, or whatever it was.

It must of been back two years or so now, and I decided to try my hand at 3d pixel art, so I got control of one of the plots, and started building.

I actually wasn't too bad, especially since I had never done it before.

So I was adding the finishing touches to a Ghast or something, I don't remember for sure, but this guy comes over, and gets the plot next to me.

I had no idea how much of a annoyance the internet could be back then, so I ignored him.

He builds this big tower, okay.

He then makes a rail atop it, alright.

Then he starts launching tens of hundreds of minecarts into my plot, completely and utterly destroying it (well I didn't lose any blocks, BUT it was unrecognizable)

He leaves, and then another guy comes over, and actually seemed quite sorry for me. (remember, this was two years ago, I didn't understand how much for a jerk the internet could be)(especially bronies sometimes(don't kill me, please)(I don't hate all bronies, just the annoying ones(you know what I mean))))

So he asks if he can help clean the plot, and I give him ability's to edit the plot.

He cleaned the plot alright, every last block of it, whole thing gone in under two minutes.

While I never did get banned, I learned a few things about the internet, and how I should think better.

If I didn't get banned, then why am I posting this here...

I was once banned from an IRC Channel for two days because I pasted one thing over and over. The IRC Admin who banned me still has a grudge to this day, and he won't listen to my reasoning. The reason why it was pasted over and over is because the text was large enough so that it didn't appear in the text-bar. Yeah.

I got banned from a minecraft server once for, after completing a maze underground an getting kicked (?), I logged back on to the server.

I can't tell you how many times I've been banned for flyhacking or speedhacking after falling into the void. *facepalms*

And I've been banned at least 10 times on friends' servers for screwing around with the moderators (or owners). It's fun to lecture them afterwards about the nature of feudalism (Only kidding, if you're sensitive to that sort of thing)

I used to be a mod on a minecraft server, And there was an Admin who had usedd the nickname plugin to change his name to Charlie, So naturally, Me and some others Decide to say " Candy mountain charlie." at which point he bans me and the others for no reason, Though i had the last laugh, i got unbanned by server owner, and 3 days later the owner decided enough was enough as the admin was still being stupid to people, banned him and then offered me the guys position.

not that the server is open anymore.

In the end, only I was banned because... apparently, I should've known that such a thing would happen on an otherwise entirely civil and polite forum.
