part editing help

i tried changing the re-scale factor on the nuclear engine from 1 to 2 and it does this

and then when you hit the vab button this is what happens

does anyone know what happened?

the only mod is far

Did you change the name in the part.cfg as well as the scalesize?

Yeah, you duplicated the folder to create two copies but didn't make them unique parts by changing the name - thus the game is getting confused and loading one in the VAB and the other in flight.
