Time warp problem

Hello,

I haven't got this problem any time earlier since I've been playing the game, but just recently when I started new game for some reason I cannot warp time when I'm on the launch pad or on lower orbit than 60-70km...when I hit "< >" it does physic warp so that destroys my ships.

Even mechjeb during ascent when it's finished gravity turn, will ofc automatically warp time but again it's a physic time warp and I have to wait for altitude to get over 70km when it allows x5,x10, ... warps.

So any tip or help? I was trying ofc alt+<> if its reversed or anything but nothing works.

Also is there a key for hinding all UIs?

You aren't allowed to time warp in any of the situations you mentioned, it'd be something to do with putting ships on rails within an atmosphere. You'll have to put up with physics warp if you want to speed up your ascents/descents.

Press F2 (or one of the other F1-F4 keys if that doesn't work, I may have forgotten)

I know that when I have throttle up i cannot do it, but thing is when mechjeb finishes gravity turn (getting ap where desired) then it throttles down but the time warp is still only x4 which is physic one and since there is autowarp with mechjeb there, it starts warping but with physic untill after few seconds it allows normal time warp.

Mechjeb will use physics warp up until 70km, then it should scale back physics and allow the game to convert to being able to use regular warp, then scale it up to 10x or whatever it deems necessary. Not quite sure what your question is mate sorry

elkar... You can't time warp in the atmosphere, and neihter can MechJeb...so MechJeb uses physics warp until the ship reaches spaaaace, then time warps to apoapsis.

You should be able to time warp with your rocket sitting on the launch pad, but I have had times when I tried to do that and it does physics warp instead...I think it's a matter of the rocket not being settled down yet. If that happens, back out of phys warp fast, or you rocket may well tear itself apart on the pad. Wait a bit and try to time warp again. Repeat as needed.

nvm we are talking about few seconds delay at every launch, i can live with that. was only wondering since it wasnt happening to me before.

It might be Mechjeb if that's your issue. They re-wrote the Mechjeb code recently, if you've update to version 2.7 of Mechjeb then that may have changed the way it operates.

This might be it probably. Because I'm trying new lifters designs and new mechjeb is in default starting gravity turn at 5km instead of 10km so there is a gap when my AP is where i need but also I'm not high enough for normal time warp.... i need to just adjust that I guess, because with payload on my ship i don't believe it would survive even those few seconds of physic warp.

You could disengage MechJeb as soon as it cuts off the motors. You are safely coasting to apoapsis at that point anyway. Wait until you are out of the atmosphere, then time warp. You can tell MJ to circularize your orbit for you when you get to apoapsis if you think it might be miffed that you cut it off early :)

i think you misunderstand. you can time warp ON THE LAUNCHPAD. the problem is that the game thinks the ship is in flight when it is not in flight, meaning he cant go to the space center or use time warp. For instance, he cant time his launch because that requires using time warp and physics warp is not fast enough and destroys everything.
