.. and from the VEGA Launcher Team.

Just to say hello to all you fellow space and rocketmen and KPS developers as well!

I discovered KSP just few weeks ago and I shared it with some of my collegues; it really helped to ease a bit the stress during our last (long) Launch Campaign in French Guyana. :)

And in fact, in the end, everything went quite fine..

Keep the good work and fly high with KSP!!

Hi there and welcome to the forums.

Glad to hear everything went well for your launch, must be intense, it's bad enough in KSP sometimes :)

Anyway good to see new people coming to the game even in this early stage.

Good luck for future launches in KSP and real life.

G.

Welcome to the forums! :)

Wow, first the Mars rover crew at NASA, now this! Always nice to see real rocket scientists having fun with the game. Makes me feel like Squad really did something right.

Anyway, I'd highly advise you and your colleagues to check out the Drawing Board (link in my signature) when you get the chance. I have no doubt that y'all can probably do the math in your heads by now, as much as you do it on the job, but it's still worth a glance if you need a reference for the interface and controls. The people in the How To forums will also be glad to answer any questions you have about the game as well. Feel free to look around the rest of the forums as well, and hop into any conversation that piques your interest.

Happy landings!

Thank you all guys for your warm welcome and support.

Francesco, indeed the thrust-to-weight ratio of VEGA is quite above the average at take off.

Unfortunately, for this second flight we got the sky completely overcast at a very low altitude so that just a few seconds after the take off the launcher was already out of sight. But if you check the video of the maiden flight of Feb' 2012 you can appreciate its impressive acceleration even more.. :)
